Senior Ayden Hill shook off some mid-season injuries to earn a trip to the WIAA State Track and Field Meet for the River Valley Blackhawks, and the sprinter took full advantage with a trip to the podium at UW-La Crosse, placing fifth in the D-2 Boys 200-meter dash.

Reedsburg Beaver baseball sees season end with upset loss to Portage

Reedsburg made its first appearance in the WIAA State Baseball Tournament last season for the first time since 2012 and with many key players returning from that squad, and with a stacked pitching staff excelling this season, the Beaver players and coaches were confident they could make a return trip to Appleton this spring.

Weston baseball ends season with WIAA Regional loss at Brookwood

Weston opened the post-season with a solid effort to defeat Alma-Pepin the previous week so the Silver Eagles baseball team took some momentum into the Regional semi-finals in WIAA D-4 action last week at Brookwood. Weston hit the ball well but fell by a final score of 9-6 to end their season.

A terrific first season of the Ithaca/Weston softball season at the varsity level came to a disappointing finish on Thursday with a loss in a WIAA D-5 Sectional final, just one win short of a trip to this week’s WIAA State Tournament in Madison.

Reedsburg has had much success facing Poynette/Portage through the years in girls soccer action, including an exciting 5-4 win earlier this season. With that in mind, the Beavers had some confidence as they began the post-season last Tuesday, facing that squad in Poynette to begin the WIAA Tournament series.

The Reedsburg Beavers, as a team, played some of its best golf of the season last Tuesday and a few individual members of the team also played some of their best golf of the season as well, but it wasn’t enough to extend the season as Reedsburg hosted a very tough WIAA D-1 Sectional Meet.
