River Valley takes momentum into post-season with 2 soccer wins

River Valley closed out SWC Girls Soccer play for 2026 with an exciting 4-3 win over the Dodgeville/Mineral Point co-op last Tuesday on the road. The win gives the Blackhawks a final mark of 7-1-2 in league play, good for second place behind 8-1-1 Platteville/Lancaster.

Impressive numbers turned in by Beaver boys golf squad

The Reedsburg Beaver boys golf team picked a great day for their best team score of the season last week. Reedsburg was part of an 8-team WIAA D-1 Regional hosted by Sparta last Tuesday and the Beavers shot their way to an impressive score of 312, the best mark of the season for the Beavers, and one of the best team marks in school history.

Clayton Lee is boys 3200 relay qualify for WIAA State Track from Ithaca/Weston co-op

Ithaca/Weston was able to qualify seven entries from the WIAA D-3 Regional at River Ridge High School to the Sectional at Bangor High School in Track and Field competition last Tuesday. Senior Ethan Lee added to his long list of championships in his storied high school career with Regional titles in the 1600 and 3200 on Tuesday.

Beavers fall at Mount Horeb to end 2026 softball season

The Beaver softball team was able to win one WIAA Tournament game but the second round was a hurdle to big to climb as Reedsburg fell in a D-2 Regional semi-final at Mount Horeb last Tuesday by a score of 13-2 against their conference rivals.

Loss at Lodi ends 2026 softball season for River Valley girls


River Valley High School senior Brooklyn Stokes has been selected to play in the Wisconsin Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association All-Star series to be played on June 16 at the Woodside Complex in Wisconsin Dells. Stokes will be on one of the teams in the D-2/D-3 grouping after leading the Blackhawks in many offensive categories this season while also being an effective pitcher at times for Coach Jane Briehl’s squad. Stokes will also play the following week in the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Girls D-3 All-Star game, also in Wisconsin Dells at Just A Game Fieldhouse. River Valley had a tough assignment to begin last week on the softball diamond, having to face the two-seed Lodi in a WIAA D-3 Regional semi-final at their park and the season came to a close for the Blackhawks in an 8-4 loss.
