The Reedsburg Beaver gymnasts will enter the new year not having yet had a single meet as a hone dual with Monona Grove on Dec. 18 was postponed due to inclement weather and will be made up as part of a triple dual at RAHS with Milton on Feb. 5.
The Ithaca/Weston girls basketball team will kick off the 2026 portion of the regular season on Jan. 5 at Boscobel. I/W has earned two wins overall in nine games with victories over Wonewoc-Center and La Farge and they’ve scored between 35 and 49 points in all nine games.
Ithaca/Weston wrestlers, boys and girls, will see some of the stiffest competition all season this week, Monday and Tuesday, at the Bi-State Classic in La Crosse.
RWD was home on back-to-back nights over the weekend in Lake Delton with game one for the Reedsburg/Wisconsin Dells/Mauston boys hockey club not going so well in a 6-0 loss to McFarland. RWD had only 10 shots on net, compared to 59 for the Spartans who got 3 goals from Addison Pennekamp and two more from Boden Wagner.
A trip to Wisconsin Dells is on the docket this week for Coach Joe Woodhouse and the River Valley girls basketball squad with Valley at 6-3 overall coming into this week.
The boys and girls wrestlers from River Valley High School are competing this week at the prestigious Bi-State Invite at the La Crosse Center on Monday and Tuesday.
The Beavers looked to stay sharp, as best they could, over the holiday break with a pair of boys basketball games last week at JAG in Wisconsin Dells against Shiocton and Bangor.
There is no school this week but the girls hoops season will continue for the Reedsburg Beavers with two games at Sauk over the holiday break against La Crosse teams. On Monday, the Beavers will face Logan and Tuesday features a matchup vs. Central with Sauk-Prairie taking om those two teams as well both days.
Reedsburg’s high school boys wrestlers will see the best competition they’ll face throughout the entire regular season slate this week at the Oshkosh Lourdes on the Water Invite.
It’s a quiet week in the classroom but a busy one on the ice for the skaters on the Badger Lightning girls hockey co-op with three games scheduled, all out of conference.
