Beavers trounce Monroe to wrap up regular season girls soccer slate

Reedsburg’s final home match of the 2026 high school girls soccer season resulted in a 5-1 loss to Lodi last Tuesday at RAHS as the temps were at their highest of the season. Reedsburg had nine shots offensively but only one goal, from Maddie Miller. Cyana Stanek and Sam Laffey split time in net and combined for 14 saves.

Reedsburg’s Will Mikonowicz heads to WIAA State Track and Field in 2 events


RAHS senior Will Mikonowicz will compete at the WIAA State Track and Field Meet for the first time after qualifying in both the boys 100 and 200 at Friday’s WIAA D-1 Sectional in Verona. The Reedsburg Beaver boys track and field squad was coming off a Badger Small championship the week prior but that didn’t mean automatic success as they ventured to Sauk-Prairie High School for last Tuesday’s WIAA D-1 Regional which featured a field of heavyweights such as Holmen. Middleton, Baraboo and Waunakee among others.

River Valley plays 2 strong games to keep baseball season alive

Some of the best baseball played this season by the River Valley Blackhawks took place this past week as Coach Matt Bakkum’s squad defeated Wisconsin Heights in the regular season finale and then routed Lancaster to begin the post-season, both at River Valley High School.

Tuesday was a good day for the Reedsburg Beaver boys tennis team, but Thursday was not and as a result, the Beavers will not be represented at this year’s WIAA State Tournament.

River Valley boys golf sees 2026 season end at WIAA Portage Regional

The 2026 season came to a close for the River Valley Blackhawks Boys Golf team last week at a WIAA D-2 Regional in Portage. Valley was one of 10 schools in action with only the top four teams advancing to Sectional play this week.

Ayden Hill to run at WIAA State Track and Field for River Valley

Beaver baseball takes 4-game win streak to WIAA Playoffs

Reedsburg suffered some disappointment by not winning the conference title this spring in Badger Small baseball, but the Beavers pitching has been lights out the past two weeks and Reedsburg takes a four-game win streak into WIAA Tournament play and that includes an 11-2 win over De Forest and a 4-0 win over La Crosse Central last week.

After a rough week, the Reedsburg Beaver baseball team got back to its winning ways last week with a pair of victories in tightly contested games against Edgewood. Unfortunately for the Beavers, the two losses the week previous against Sauk-Prairie cost them a fourth consecutive conference title as Sauk won twice vs.

Reedsburg’s Preston Powell earns medalist honors at Badger Small boys golf meet


RAHS senior Preston Powell was the overall medalist at last week’s end of season Badger Small Boys Golf Tournament at Wild Rock, near Wisconsin Dells. Powell carded an even par round of 72 to post the best score in the field. Powell also is a member of the All-Conference team with the second best season average in conference play.
