Weston enjoyed its best week of the high school girls volleyball season this past week, posting a pair of 3-0 sweeps in Ridge and Valley Conference play at Ithaca and on the home floor vs. Wauzeka.
Third graders in the Reedsburg Youth Football program go through some warm-ups and drills on Saturday morning at Webb Field. RYF sponsors tackle football for grades four through eight but the third graders meet every Saturday during the fall for flag football instruction at Webb Field.
Reedsburg hosted its second high school cross country meet in a row last Tuesday as the Baraboo Thunderbirds paid a visit to the Hartje Center for a dual meet. Baraboo won a narrow decision on the girls side and also won the boys dual in terms of team scoring.
After struggling for much of the night in an opening week loss to Portage, the Reedsburg Beaver football team played well in all aspects of the game in a convincing 41-6 win over Sauk-Prairie last week in the Homecoming game at Millennium Field.
Definite signs of encouragement were on display from the Reedsburg Beaver boys soccer team last week in a pair of home matches at RAHS.
Reedsburg showed offensive improvement in a loss to Madison Edgewood before playing its best all-around match two days later, playing a strong Sauk-Prairie team to a 1-1 draw.
Reedsburg’s regular season came to a close in high school girls tennis competition last week with the team competing in WIAA Tournament play this week, making the best of an awkward season and schedule due to COVID-19 restrictions and protocols that had to be followed.
