Multiple area residents excelled academically at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse for the spring semester.

To qualify, students must complete at least 12 credits and earn a GPA of at least 3.5.

Hometowns, student names and majors are as follows.

Donald and Helen (Mathys) Moe of Reedsburg, WI (formerly of Monroe, WI) are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary on July 1st. They were united in marriage on July 1, 1952 at Immaculate Conception Church in Blandchardville, WI.

A Reedsburg woman has earned a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

Vanessa Mercer graduated with a diploma in education, counseling following the spring semester.

The university presented diplomas to about 680 undergraduates. About 95 others received master’s degrees.

The Wisconsin Historical Society has presented a special designation to the City of Reedsburg.

It is now a Certified Local Government under the organization. It will now share the honor with 75 other Wisconsin governments.

South Central DHI has announced its best-performing animals through March.

The top Holstein came from the herd of Bells Udder Farm in Camp Douglas. P-3091 produced 39,476 pounds of milk that tested at 3.9 percent and 3965 cheese yield.

The next Concert in the Park will feature Swing Crew.

The performance will begin at 6:30 p.m. July 6 at Reedsburg City Park.

A Reedsburg woman has finished her master’s degree in management.

Ali Elaine Srader completed her program through the University of Maryland Global campus. She was one of more than 13,600 grads from 50 states and the District of Columbia, as well as 32 countries and U.S. territories.

The Reedsburg School District is participating in a summer meal program, with the goal of feeding those 18 and younger.

All meals must be consumed on site. The program is supported through a partnership with the Department of Public Instruction.
