On June 25, the La Valle Public Library will offer family friendly fun from 3 to 5:30 p.m.
Visitors can draw on the sidewalk with chalk, and then inside for a root beer float. There will also be information on the summer reading challenge, with opportunities and prizes for all ages.
K9 Remi of the Reedsburg Police Department will make a special appearance during the Reedsburg Community Market, which will be from 2 to 4:30 p.m. June 18 at the shelter at Main Street and Webb Avenue.
Visitors can meet the dog and his handler, and learn more about how K9s work.

The Sauk County Institute of Leadership (SCIL) hosted its April session, Leadership in Nature or Natural Leadership?, on Thursday, April 9, at White Mound County Park, bringing together leaders from across the county for a day focused on environmental insight, community impact, and leadership development in natural settings.
It’s been close to two full years now that the Just A Game Fieldhouse facility in Reedsburg has been in full operation and many parties involved seem to indicate it’s been a positive to this point.
The summer is well underway at Reedsburg Public Library. We are still taking registration for Summer Reading Challenges for all ages. Next week is the second week of programming for youth, and many activities are scheduled for adults as well.

The roots of the Town of Franklin trace back to November 1854, when it was established from a portion of the expansive Town of Honey Creek. Just a few years later, in September 1858, the community evolved further when the western section of Franklin was partitioned to create the Town of Bear Creek.
