Reedsburg’s Freedom Fest celebrates America’s 250th birthday

As in years past, Reedsburg will celebrate the Fourth of July. This year’s celebration will be particularly special, as it’s the nation’s 250th birthday.

The festival will take place in Nishan Park.

Declaration of Independence to be read in park

A reading of the Declaration of Independence will be done in honor of the country’s 250th anniversary.

It will be presented at 2 p.m. July 4 at the Reedsburg Community Park Pavilion at the corner of Webb Avenue and Main Street.

There is no charge to attend.

Council approves rezoning for new Winfield Town Hall

Rezoning has been approved to allow for the construction of a new town hall in Winfield.

At its last meeting in June, Reedsburg Common Council approved rezoning requests related to the project.

Lot 1 at E6391 Bass Road in Reedsburg was rezoned from agricultural to government.

Copper Box plays Concert in Park

Reedsburg’s next Concert in the Park will feature Copper Box.

The performance will begin at 6:30 p.m. July 8 in Reedsburg City Park.

Copper Box plays roots and Americana.

Admission is free but donations are appreciated to support the series.

Food will be sold on site.

Cannon dedication will be held July 4

A dedication for the cannon in Webb Park will be held on the Fourth of July.

The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. at 415 N. Webb Ave.

Featured speakers will include Rep. Tony Kurtz, R-Wonewoc, and Reedsburg Mayor Dave Estes.

Final plat approved for phase III of senior housing development

The final plat for My Home Estates Phase III in Reedsburg has been approved by Reedsburg Common Council.

The plat will be part of Lot 9 of My Home Estates. The applicant is KMD Development.
