This spring, the villages of Prairie du Sac and Sauk City both wrestled with waste treatment issues, emergency services funding and food trucks — all common challenges across Wisconsin. Those three issues presented tasks for the twin villages operating both individually and collectively, as they have for decades.

Reedsburg’s Concerts in the Park series begins next week for the season.

The first show will take place at 6:30 p.m. June 10 at Reedsburg City Park.

Ladies Must Swing will be the featured entertainer. The group will do a salute to veterans, playing jazz and classic swing of the Big Band era.

Food will be sold.

As a gesture of appreciation, Edward Jones Financial Advisors Laura Morehouse, Kate Schmidt, Matt Kvernan and Charlie Brumer partnered with the Deli Bean to provide coffee to Reedsburg Police, Fire and EMS departments on May 20, honoring their everyday dedication to protecting and serving the community.

An organization created in Sauk County is expanding once again.

The Reichling family announced that it will launch the southwest Wisconsin chapter of the Farmer Angel Network.

They decided to open the chapter to honor Myles Reichling of Mineral Point. He died by suicide at the age of 24 in February 2018.

The Reedsburg Area Chamber of Commerce’s next Business after Five will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. June 9 at Vierbicher Associates in Reedsburg, 201 E. Main St., Suite 100.

Admission is free, and light refreshments will be served.
