Reedsburg Parks and Recreation Director Matt Scott and his department are excited to unveil the new Legends Park on Reedsburg’s northeast side, at the corner of Doris Road and Dessa Rain Drive, with the ribbon cutting ceremony having taken place this spring.

A family lost its home in Reedsburg on June 21.

According to the Reedsburg Police Department, crews were dispatched to the 200 block of Myrtle Street just before 3:20 p.m. Sunday. The occupants and family pet safely escaped.

Reedsburg United Methodist Church will hold a free movie night on June 27.

At 6:30 p.m., the church will show “Elemental.” Free popcorn will be served.

The church is located at 833 Third St.

Perhaps it's best said about Alex Harrington that his passion for weather was simply waiting for a spark. And at age 4, while watching "The Wizard of Oz" with his family, that spark was struck by an image anchored deep in the American psyche.

Jeff Wright, Chanda Kulow, Amy Brehm, Melissa Sumwalt, and Maelvy Ramirez of the Sauk Prairie School District were thanked at the April 29th Optimist Meeting. After the Blue Spoon closed, the Optimists had no place to meet for their occasional noon meetings.

On June 4, Scarlet Long, a first grader at Merrimac Community School, was presented the first of four bicycles awarded that day.
