WIAA adds girls wrestling

The WIAA’s Board of Control approved the addition of a girls individual state tournament last week beginning with the 2021-22 season. The vote was unanimous. It marks the first addition of a girls sport since 2001 when girls hockey was added.

Home Talent League will return

Excitement. Eagerness. Exhilaration. All mixed with a large dose of cautiousness. The Home Talent League plans to begin its season on the weekend of July 4 with new several social distancing measures now in place. Teams were supposed to start play in May, but the season was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sauk Prairie Twins have high hopes

Sauk Prairie’s Home Talent League team came within one win of capturing the league championship last season.   It was an unforgettable run that included three walk-off victories in the playoffs, highlighted by Sam Koenig’s walk-off grand slam in Round 1 of the Final Four versus Verona. Overall the Twins finished with a record of 25-9.

Wisconsin Heights’ Best of the best
