A Reedsburg park has a new shelter due to donations from a regional business.
The structure at Sauey Park was completed July 25 with funds from the W.R. & Floy A. Sauey Family Foundation.

The Madison College Reedsburg campus has a new academic advisor.
Lydia Stiegman will help students explore career pathways, develop an academic plan and register for courses. She will provide services in person, virtually or over the phone.
A Loganville student was among this spring’s graduates at Marquette University.
Tim Knoll completed his doctorate in dentistry from the Milwaukee-based college. He was one of about 2,850 students who took home diplomas following the spring semester.

The Reedsburg Area Community Band is next on the list for the Concerts in the Park series.
The group will play at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 17 at Reedsburg City Park. It will play classic band standards. The group is comprised of area musicians of varying ages, instruments and experience levels.
Sauk County residents may attend a free informational meeting about Medicare.
The session will begin at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 16 at the West Square Building, Room B30, in Baraboo. The meeting is tailored for those who are considering retirement, turning 65 or starting Medicare.
Next week marks the final week of reporting for both Youth and Adult Summer Reading Challenges, and most summer event programs have been completed. However, several movies are scheduled for all ages, as well as one last Read with Me Dog visit before school begins.
A student from Cazenovia has been recognized for academic achievement during the spring semester at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
Sadie Keller, a senior, made the Dean’s List for completing at least 12 credits and earning a GPA of 3.66. She was enrolled in the Carlson School of Management.

The show will begin at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 10 at Reedsburg City Park. Admission is free but donations are appreciated to support the series. Bring blankets or lawn chairs for seating. Groups will sell concessions.
