A showcase of rural businesses and farms in Sauk and Richland counties kicks off on Saturday.
The Hill and Valley Exploration Tour will be held Sept. 17-18 and 24-25. An assortment of locations will be open to provide tours, offer information and sell their wares. Admission is free. Sites will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Knights of Columbus will hold its Annual Tootsie Roll Drive the weekend of Sept. 23 and 24.
Knights members will be stationed at Reedsburg businesses to collect donations for people with intellectual disabilities. Participating locations include Viking Village Foods, True Value, Quillin’s and Walgreens.

Quite a splash was made this past summer with Reedsburg Public Library’s summer reading programs Reading: An Ocean of Possibilities and, for adults, Seas the Day: Read. A total of 340 youth registered for this summer’s reading challenge, with 2,141 in attendance at programs and events.
