Wisconsin Heights’ boys basketball coach Zack Colby loves how things line up. Colby and his 11th-seeded Vanguards began the postseason Tuesday with a trip to sixth-seeded River Ridge for a WIAA Division 4 regional quarterfinal. If the Vanguards won there, they’d head to third-seeded Mineral Point Friday at 7 p.m. for a regional semifinal.

With the postseason just days away, Sauk Prairie’s boys basketball team picked the perfect time to put a winning streak together. The Eagles snapped a two-game skid with back-to-back Badger North Conference victories last week.

With a trip to sectionals on the line, seniors Camden Desroches and Riley Jelinek would not be denied. Sauk Prairie’s co-op hockey team rallied from a one-goal deficit in the second period and skated to a 5-1 win over Madison West in a WIAA Division 1 regional final at the Sauk Prairie Area Recreation Center Ice Arena last Thursday night.
