Karla Campbell, second-grade teacher at Pineview Elementary School, won the 2026 Woodson Outstanding Teacher Award. The Woodson Outstanding Teacher Award was established by the children of Dan and Venita Woodson in 1988 to honor and perpetuate the memory of their parents. This prestigious award recognizes and honors teachers who have demonstrated excellence in the School District of Reedsburg. The Sauk Prairie School District welcomed new teachers to its team during two-day training Aug. 17 and 18. The new staff bring to the district a wealth of experience, including a combined 152 years working in education. Sauk Prairie Superintendent Jeff Wright said, “We are excited to welcome these talented educators to our team. Some are in their first years as teachers and others have taught for decades. They will bring new ideas to our classrooms and we are looking forward to the new academic year together.” Sauk Prairie started school Tuesday, Sept. 1.
