Sauk Prairie School District welcomes new teachers


The Sauk Prairie School District welcomed new teachers to its team during two-day training Aug. 17 and 18. The new staff bring to the district a wealth of experience, including a combined 152 years working in education. Sauk Prairie Superintendent Jeff Wright said, “We are excited to welcome these talented educators to our team. Some are in their first years as teachers and others have taught for decades. They will bring new ideas to our classrooms and we are looking forward to the new academic year together.” Sauk Prairie started school Tuesday, Sept. 1.

Reedsburg Board puts middle school referendum on Nov. 3 ballot


The Reedsburg School Board voted to put a referendum question on the November ballot. The request is for funding to build a new middle school to replace the aging Webb Middle, which is actually the former high school. (Independent Star News file photo)
