Two locals were among the top finishers in the FLW tournament in La Crosse Aug. 21.

Fans of Reedsburg Beaver sports may be able to watch games live this season with the comfort of their computer or electronic device or even on their television.
Many high schools across the state are choosing to play a revised fall sports schedule in the spring, as set up by the WIAA in this time of the COVID-19 pandemic, but RAHS teams and athletes are competing this fall and one of those groups is the Reedsburg Beaver girls tennis team.
Coming off the best season in program history, Beaver girls golf Coach Jesse Monte wasn’t quite sure what was going to happen this season but the early results are very positive.
After two weeks of pre-season training with plenty of safety measures and protocols in place for the athletes and coaches, the Reedsburg Beaver cross country teams compete in the first meet of the season this Thursday in Portage for a dual meet at Wyona Park.
It had been a long five months since Sauk Prairie High School last participated in a live sporting event.
The lengthy wait is finally over.
The Eagles hosted Baraboo in a girls swimming meet on Aug. 25. And as enjoyable as Sauk Prairie’s 93-76 win was, getting back in the water was just as fun.
Sauk Prairie High School was among the 46 schools named recipients of the Award of Excellence in 2019-20 by the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association.

The end result wasn’t what they wanted.
But Sauk Prairie’s girls’ tennis team was just thrilled to be back on the court last Tuesday, while several teams across the area are sitting out the fall season out due to concerns surrounding COVID-19.
Wisconsin Heights’ girls basketball team was unable to have a postseason banquet to the COVID-19 pandemic. But the Vanguards did have several awards to distribute, including:
