Conditions couldn’t have been much better for the 42nd annual Blackhawk Invitational hosted by River Valley last Saturday, and Sauk Prairie’s boys and girls cross country teams made the most of it.
Sauk Prairie’s football team had not trailed in a game this season and was undefeated after three weeks.
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end.
There were no surprises.
No mysteries.
Just frustration.
Wisconsin Heights’ football team suffered its first loss of the season last Friday, falling to Belmont, 43-16.
The same two teams met during a scrimmage in August, so Heights (3-1 overall) knew just how good Belmont (3-1) was.
