RWD skaters open Dec. 1 VS. Waupaca at RACA in Reedsburg

The pre-season is underway for the Reedsburg/Wisconsin Dells/Mauston boys high school hockey coop but the RWD skaters have to wait until Tuesday, Dec. 1, to begin regular season play at RACA in Reedsburg against Waupaca.

The Reedsburg Beaver girls gymnastics team saw its schedule altered along with the other winter sports teams at RAHS as some original opponents are not competing due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Beaver girls basketball optimistic about current season with talented veteran squad

The Reedsburg Beaver girls basketball team was ready to jump into the 2020-2021 season with a scheduled season opener this week vs. Sauk-Prairie at RAHS. Sauk, however, has decided to delay playing any games during the winter sports season until the week of Dec. 7 so the make-up date is now on Dec. 10.

HONOR STUDENTS

Sauk Prairie junior outside hitter Aida Shadewald was named first-team all-state in Division 1 by the Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association. Senior setter/outside hitter Olivia Breunig and junior libero Alia Schlimgen were both named honorable-mention all-state.

Blackhawks post-season run

The River Valley High School varsity boys football team began their post-season last Friday night with a game against the Adams-Friendship Green Devils, winning the game with a final score of 30-6. In the first quarter Will Bailey ran in nine yards for a touchdown. Valley got a two point conversion to put the score at 8-0 at the start of the game.
