Naturally Speaking: Tree flowers become nuts

Trees have flowers, at least most of the deciduous ones in this area do.

Why, then, when with so many chances and obligations to “talk” about the blooms are they avoided, ignored or forgotten? Just like other flowers many tree flowers develop into fruit. Those that don’t are the ones that have pollen-only producing parts.
