Gerald Curtis Hanson

Gerald Curtis Hanson
Gerald Curtis Hanson, age 86, passed away on Thursday, August 6th, at Greenway Manor.
Born on April 27th, 1940, in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, Jerry was the youngest of four siblings. He was a lifelong farmer in Wyoming Valley, Wisconsin, until his retirement in 2021 when he and his wife, Judy, moved to San Diego, California. The farm was extremely important to Jerry, and he employed many young people over the years. Jerry was able to teach the importance of hard work and a good work ethic to those he employed, showing them how important this was in life.
Beyond the farm, Jerry enjoyed seeing movies, hunting, and spending time with family and friends.
In Jerry’s younger years he was married to Sharon Mack.  Mother of Abby and Kristin.  She was a dear friend of his wife Judy.
Jerry survived by his wife of 36 years, Judy Symon Hanson; daughters Abby Schultze and Kristin (Terry Fry); stepson Hamilton Arendsen (Anne Cane); grandchildren Sydney Fry (Jonathan Hulscher), Olivia Fry, RJ, and Sammy Arendsen; and many nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Della Hanson; siblings Elaine and Kevin Norman, Donna and Warren Buchner, and Beverly Hanson; and grandson Dylan Schultze.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Sauk and Iowa County Humane Societies, as Jerry had a great love of animals.
