Stanley Bauer

Stanley Bauer was born on November 2nd, 1939 to Alfred and Sarah Bauer, and died on August 8th, 2026 at age 86. He married Rosetta Dochnahl on May 30th, 1959. Stan was a farmer his entire life, he retired from managing the Urfer Farm in 2010 after 47 years. He had a lot of pride in his home vegetable garden, making a variety of canned goods to share with his family and friends. Stan was known for his cooking and baking, often experimenting to improve his recipes. He could be found playing cards on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Baron Brooks, and also enjoyed playing cards with his siblings, and at family gatherings. Stan enjoyed collecting arrowheads and creating displays. He would spend hours completing puzzles, enough for his family to take some home and also to adorn the walls of his garage. He enjoyed fishing with his friends. Stan loved spending time with his family and friends. Stan is survived by his wife Rosetta, seven children, Cheryl Lueck (Steve), Cross Plains, WI, Karen Minor (Ken) Prairie Du Sac, WI, Jerry Bauer (Brenda), Spring Green, WI, Deb Kreckow (Marlyn), Minnetonka, MN, Jim Bauer (Beth), Sturgeon Bay, WI, Jeff Bauer (Jen), Oak Creek, WI, Steve Bauer (Karen), Stoughton, WI, seventeen grandchildren; Marissa Lueck (Pedro), Cody Lueck, Jordan Lueck, Kristina (Eric) Angell, Courtney (Aaron) Feigl, Ryan Minor, Garrett (Kelsi) Bauer, Brianna (Ben) Jones, Ozzy, Sarah, and Rachael Kreckow, Zia and Emalyn Bauer, Carter (Sam) and Mae Bauer, Jared and Adam Bauer, three bonus grandchildren, Will Schwartz (Sarah), Lizzie Schwartz(Iolana), and Jaycie Schwartz and nine great-grandchildren, Teddy and Finn Angell, Ellie and Isla Feigl, Easton, Hadley, and Kennedi Bauer, and Harper and Cooper Jones. Siblings Russell Bauer, Carol Schmalowski (Jack), Ronny Bauer (Audrey), Sharon Heiser (Lenny), Kevin Bauer (Barb) and Diane Wilkinson (Gene), and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws Sylvester and Shirley Dochnal, brother Dennis Bauer, sisters-in-law Darlene Bauer and Delores Dickinson, brother-in-law Francis Pulvermacher and many close friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or your favorite charity. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John’s Catholic Church, Spring Green with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 17, 2026 from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at St. John’s Catholic Church and again on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass.
