This week will be fairly quiet for members of the Reedsburg Beaver girls volleyball team but last week was anything but as the Beavers played two conference matches before playing multiple matches at Just a Game Fieldhouse Friday and Saturday as well.

RAHS Activities Director Aaron May announced last week the hiring of Justin Kuhnau as the new head boys basketball coach.
Kuhnau, a former player for the Reedsburg program, was selected after an extensive search process. May expressed his enthusiasm for the new hire.
The schedule makers were unkind to the Reedsburg Beaver boys soccer team this past week as two strong opponents, Edgewood and Baraboo, both paid a visit to RAHS in the span of three days. Reedsburg was shut out in both matches, as they fall to 0-3-1 overall.
Things couldn’t have gone much better for the Reedsburg Beaver football team than they did for the first two weeks of this season. Reedsburg’s offense scored 14 touchdowns combined in the two games, averaging 48 points per contest, while running for over 440 yards per game as well with an average of around 10 yards per play.
Reedsburg had perhaps their busiest week of the girls volleyball season this past week with eight matches over the course of five days, with mixed results on the court.
As a young Reedsburg Beaver girls golf squad gains more experience, the scores, individually and ultimately team-wise, are continuing to improve and that showed last week in a pair of Badger Small Meets.
It was a good news, bad news situation for the Reedsburg Beaver girls tennis team this past week. West Salem topped the Beavers, 5-2, to begin the week but Reedsburg came back to rout Portage, 7-0, in conference action.
After a rough season opener against a strong team from Evansville, the last two weeks have featured a lot of positives for the River Valley Blackhawks Football team. R-V handled Wisconsin Dells in week two before the Blackhawks opened conference play last week in the SWC with a convincing 42-12 win at Brodhead-Juda.
