Following a detailed and thorough presentation by Dale Green, Director of Curriculum, Instruction, & Assessment in the late fall the Wisconsin Heights School Board unanimously voted in January to continue their popular all-day 4K program. Green emphasized they were making evidence-based decisions in the decision.
Area kids represented schools well in this year’s Sauk County Youth Conservation Poster Contest.
This year’s theme was Home is Where the Habitat is. Children have the opportunity to create and submit posters that highlight the importance of nature and resources in the county. Top finishers are selected in each grade category.

Reedsburg Area High School’s show choir is bringing its award-winning repertoire to the CAL Center in early March.
Choraliers will perform 12 new songs plus all the contest numbers. For the public, it’s a chance to see how the group wowed judges this competition season.
On February 15th Sauk Prairie Middle School’s Soaring Sound Show Choir traveled to Monona Grove to compete in the 2025 Silver Stage Invitational. The performance was the last of their competitive season. Four schools from around the state competed in the Middle School Division, and Soaring Sound was crowned Grand Champion! Wisconsin Heights School District is inviting community stakeholders to two evenings of conversation and engagement as part of shaping the future of the district. The two-evening event will be April 8th and 10th, in the Middle School/High School Cafeteria. Food and gathering starts at 5:30 p.m. and the listening sessions are from 6 to 8 p.m.
There will be a Sauk Prairie School Board Candidate Forum Monday, March 3, 2025, 7:00 p.m., at Leola Hall, 105 9th St. Prairie du Sac, WI 53578. The Forum is co-hosted by the Sauk Prairie Education Association (SPEA) and the Sauk Prairie Optimists.
The School District of Reedsburg will host a meet-and-greet with the finalists for the superintendent job.
Day in the District will be held Feb. 25. During that time, the finalists will have a chance to tour the schools and meet administrators, staff, students, families, parents and residents.
