Pets of the Week: Odin and Pip

The Sauk County Humane Society has unveiled its featured pets, with comments from shelter staff. They are as follows.

Odin is a handsome Siberian husky who is a little over a year old and has plenty of personality packed into his fluffy frame. He came to SCHS as a stray and is still learning the basics, but he already walks wonderfully on a leash and is eager to learn with a little patience and consistency. True to his husky roots, Odin is adventurous, smart, and just the right amount of stubborn. If he disagrees with your plans, he may pull out his hilarious “defiant flop” before eventually deciding to cooperate. Odin would love a fenced yard where he can run and play. He can be a bit jumpy, so older kids may be best, and he needs a cat-free home. He can also be selective with dogs, so a shelter match-up is required. If you appreciate a little Husky mischief, Odin might be your guy! He is up to date on his vaccinations and will be neutered prior to adoption.

Pip is an approximately 5-month-old orange tabby who came to the shelter as a stray, and this little guy is basically a bundle of purrs wrapped in orange fur. He’s quick to come to the front of his kennel to say hello, usually offering up a few head butts while he’s there. Pip is friendly, affectionate, and always happy to spend time with people. Of course, he’s still a kitten, so there’s plenty of playing, exploring, and general kitten silliness mixed in with all that sweetness. He has that lovable personality orange boy cats seem to be famous for, and Pip is doing a pretty great job of keeping the stereotype alive. Sweet, social, playful, and full of purrs, this little orange guy has all the makings of an amazing companion. He is up to date on his vaccinations and will be neutered prior to adoption.
