Isabelle M. Reimer

Isabelle M. Reimer, age 91, of Loganville, died on Sunday morning, August 16, 2026, at the Senior Life Center in Reedsburg, Wisconsin.

She was born on May 19, 1935, in Baraboo, WI, the daughter of Paul and Caroline (Schroeder) Stieve. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Baraboo, WI. Isabelle graduated from Baraboo High School in 1953.  On August 15, 1953, she was united in marriage to Orland J. Reimer at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Baraboo, WI.

After their marriage she became a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Loganville.  She served as church council treasurer for many years. She was also a member of Ladies Aide. She believed in God and Jesus Christ, our Savior.

She was a member of her local Homemakers club and very active in 4-H with her kids.  She and Orland were involved in a card club. Her home was always open to relation/family/friends from near and far and provided a place to come and socialize.  The farm pole shed served as a venue for many get-togethers including family reunions, wedding parties, anniversaries, and hunting groups.  She was a great organizer and loved preparing food for all the events. 

She loved mowing her huge lawn and making sure the yard was always perfect.

She was employed as a bookkeeper for 40 years at the local Farm Co-op, which grew over the years from the Loganville Coop to RS&L Co-op to Co-op Country Partners and now United Cooperative. After retirement she worked at The Reedsburg Bank and Schiefelbein Auto Body.

She loved following the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers.  Always a good conversation. She was gifted by the many poems she would write. She had an exceptional memory and always knew exactly where things were down to every detail. 

Isabelle always put others first, she made everyone feel comfortable, needed and appreciated.  She loved her family dearly, unconditional love.

She loved her animals, including dogs, an unexpected cat named “Kitty” that strolled in at the farm, horses, especially Jet and Lacy (Alissa’s horses) and tending to the cattle.

She is survived by three children: Daniel (Cynthia) Reimer, Loganville; Jane (Kurt) Muchow, Rock Springs; Gary (Pamela) Reimer, Loganville; five grandchildren; Alissa Muchow (Roni Johnson), Matthew (Lindsey) Muchow, Mikhail (Amanda) Reimer, Wesley (Maryna) Reimer, Micah (Lucas) Wohlrab, one step- granddaughter; Lorana (Dustin) McCall; seven-great-grandchildren: Graham and Marlee Muchow, Charli, Boone and Waylon Reimer, Jed and Nellie McCall;  one sister: Jean (Stieve) Friday; one -sister-in-law Nancy Reimer, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.  

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Orland Reimer on July 3, 2019, her parents, her father and mother-in-law Ariel and Agnes Reimer; brother Wilbur Stieve (died at age 13); stepbrother Harvey (Jeanette) Stieve and stepsisters, Madeline (Bueford) Boyd and Mildred (Ike) Boyd: brother- in-law and sister-in-law Lloyd and Joann Feltz, and brother-in-laws David Reimer and Dean Friday: one-great grandson: Ronin.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 A.M. on Friday, August 21, 2026, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Loganville with Rev. Kirsten Mueller officiating.  Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.   There will be a visitation on Friday morning from 9:30 A.M. until 11:15 A.M. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church would be appreciated.  The Farber Home is serving the family.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center for their compassionate care.  The staff was exceptionally attentive to Mom, even the residents loved Mom’s company.
