Delores I. Orcutt age 93 of Spring Green passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026 with family at her side at Greenway Manor Nursing Home in Spring Green. Delores was born in Fairbank IA on April 9, 1933 the daughter of August and Edna (Hein) Braun. She attended grade school at St. John’s Lutheran School and graduated Salutatorian from Fairbank High School in 1951. Delores moved to Waterloo after graduation to work at Rath Packing Company in the cashier department. On July 13, 1952 she married James Richard Orcutt. While Jim was in the Army, they lived in Georgia and New Jersey. They moved to Madison after Jim’s military service ended and she worked at WP&L. In 1958 they bought a farm in Arena, WI, farmed for 35 years and had 5 children. Delores enjoyed square dancing, snowmobiling, card club, travel, bowling and golf. She was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church. She worked at Heck’s Market and later worked for Cardinal IG. After Jim passed away at 62, Delores moved to Spring Green and enjoyed great friendships made through the Good Time Golf Girls, multiple card clubs, and church activities. Survivors include her children, Kathy (Tom) Dorscheid, Howard (Michelle) Orcutt, Jon (Sandy) Orcutt, her grandchildren, Andrea (Jonathan) Peterson, Ginny (Geoff) Fricke, Ben (Jessica) Dorscheid, Rachel Orcutt, Michael Orcutt and Abby Drehmel, Tyler Orcutt and Riley Noonan, Justin Orcutt and Jade Bowers, her great grandchildren, Charles, James and Grace Peterson, Reese and Rory Fricke, Sterling and Allison Stoddard, Ainsley Orcutt, many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Orcutt, her sons, Alan and Willliam Orcutt, brothers, Melvin (Phyllis) Braun, Buck (Carol) Braun, sisters, Frances (Ray) Buckner, Mildred (Glenn) Larson, Mary (Loren) Niehbur, a sister-in-law, Louise (Earl) Frey and brother-in-law, Robert (Doris) Orcutt. Funeral services will be held at the Christ Lutheran Church (237 E. Daley Street), Spring Green, WI on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. with a luncheon to follow. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026 at Christ Lutheran Church from 4:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. and again on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Christ Lutheran Church.
