Genevieve Patricia Kiely

Genevieve Patricia Kiely, age 96, of Lyndon Station, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, July 3, 2026.

She was born on February 19, 1930, the daughter of Morris Henry and Myrtle Grace (Normington) Bambrough. Genevieve worked for several years at the Badger Army Ammunition Plant near Baraboo, Wisconsin. On November 22, 1947, she was united in marriage to Vincent Kiely in Reedsburg. Their union was blessed with two daughters and one son. Together, they farmed and worked side by side on the family farm until Vincent’s passing.

Genevieve treasured her family and her dog, Molly and had a lifelong love of horses.  She enjoyed collecting antique buggies and sleighs, playing cards--especially canasta, and was known as an excellent Scrabble player. She was a longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church in Reedsburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Susan (Allan) Hartung; son, Michael Kiely; Husband, Vincent; sisters, Darlene Prickett and Dolores Laufenberg; brothers, Robert Bambrough and Harry Bambrough; half-brothers: James Bambrough, William Bambrough and Wilbur Ulrich.

Genevieve is survived by her daughter, Linda Kiely; grandchildren: Julie Jensen, James Jensen, Jr., Josh Hartung, Jayna Hartung, Jolane (Jason) Stoermann; great grandchildren: Kiely Jensen, Kayla Jensen, Tiffany Brewer, Kurt Trimble, Jr., Jada Goettel; great-great granddaughter, Elizabeth Brewer; along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Her laugh and stories about the past will be deeply missed and cherished.

Funeral services for Genevieve Kiely will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Trinity Baptist Church in Reedsburg, with Pastor Kyle Stachewicz officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery in the Town of Dellona.

The Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg is assisting the family with the arrangements.
