Be sure to sample some of Reedsburg Public Library’s fun and educational programs next week.

Jurassic Park Mini Golf, a teen bike repair session, and a Discovery Days Theater Workshop are just some of the events scheduled. As a reminder the Library will be closed Friday, July 3, through Sunday, July 5, for the Independence Day holiday.

As June draws to a close, youth are reminded to continue working on their reading logs and bingo cards. Successful readers can pick out a new book of their choice as a reward for their June reading.

July reading logs and bingo cards are available for pick up. All teen and adult visitors to the library are reminded to sign up for our Summer Side Quest weekly prize drawing. The Side Quest is a fun addition to the summer library program. Every day you visit the library, simply enter your name and phone number for a chance to win one of the weekly prizes.

On Tuesday, June 30, at 2 p.m., the Time Travelers Club (Grades K-2) focuses on the frontier days of the American West. Participants will be building their own model Conestoga wagons and log cabins. Later that night, at 6 p.m., join us on the Library’s back lawn for our second Family Fun night. We’ll host Jurassic Park Mini Golf, where you are challenged to earn the lowest score while avoiding dinosaurs and other interesting themed obstacles! If it rains, we’ll play in the library.

The annual Teen Time (Grades 6-12) Bike Repair Workshop will be held on Wednesday, July 1, from 1 to 3 p.m. Members of Reedsburg’s Summer Outdoor Adventure Club will be on hand to show you how to fix a bike. You may bring your own bicycle if you wish. Call the library to register or sign up on the library’s calendar (www.reedsburglibrary.org)

At 10 a.m., on Thursday, July 2, Loganville Little Library meets at the Loganville Village Hall for stories and crafts to celebrate the Fourth of July.

That afternoon, at 2 p.m., kids entering Grades 3-5 can participate in the Discovery Days Theater Workshop. Join Miss Steph and local actor and director Andy Matz for exercises, games and improve activities to get you ready for your acting career. Please register for this program at least 24 hours in advance.

Looking ahead, mark your calendars for Monday, July 13, at 6 p.m., when RAHS History Instructor David Moon gives a special presentation to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States.

Join us for the program, Founding Friends, American Rivals: Adams, Jefferson and the Creation of America.

Free Wisconsin State Park day passes are still available for checkout at the library’s front desk for Wisconsin residents. Those who would like to take advantage of this program need to know the day they would like to visit a state park.
