River Valley food pantries locations and hours

Area food pantries have served those in need for many years:

In Lone Rock, director Bill Schwie holds distribution with pre-boxed items for distribution on the second Monday of the month from 5 to 6 p.m. The pantry is located at 34522 County Line Road. Call Schwie at (608) 553-2568 for information. 

The food pantry in Plain is located at 1310 Main Street. For a distribution appointment or to make contributions, call Cheryl Larson at (608) 588-5085. 

The Spring Green Area Food Pantry is operating as follows: the pantry is located at Spring Green Community Church, 151 E. Bossard Street and holds distributions on the third Monday of each month. People need to make an appointment to receive food by calling (608) 459-5512 the Friday before. There is no income requirement. Monetary contributions are appreciated. Send checks payable to the Community Food Pantry of Spring Green, Box 6, Spring Green, WI 53588. Donations are tax deductible. Call Lucy Bindl at (608) 574-8696 for more information. 

The Arena Food Pantry (SWCAP) distributes on the second (2nd) Wednesday of the month from 12 noon to 7 p.m. and the fourth (4th) Wednesday of the month from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The pantry is not open on Saturday. The pantry is located behind the Arena Village Hall at 345 West Street (west of The Manor Apartments). Call Becca Raven Uminowicz at (608) 753-3012 for more information.
