Next week, the library will feature programs appropriate to the season for both adults and youth, as well as a Tech Day session about printing documents at the library.

On Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 6 p.m. in the library’s Community Room, local paranormal investigator Darren Wiczek will give a presentation about his investigations into unexplained phenomena, and the equipment he uses in the process. To date, he and his partner Kim Bartels have investigated the unexplained Bray Road creature of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, a Civil War cemetery in Tupelo, Mississippi, and a tavern in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. Wiczek and Bartels will have copies of their independently published book, “Haunted Adventures: the Beginning,” for sale at the program.

Teens and children will embrace the many programs that Youth Services Librarian Miss Heather and her assistant Miss Stephanie have planned for the last week in October. On Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 4 p.m., children in Grades 5-12 will enjoy the Halloween Party that they planned themselves as part of the Teen Advisory Board. The group will meet in the Library’s Community Room for games such as Wrap up the Mummy, treats, and a G-rated movie. Participants may come in costume if they wish. Age-appropriate fall and Halloween stories will be featured at other youth events throughout the week, including Babygarten, After School Club and preschool storytimes. Check the events calendar on the library's website at www.reedsburglibrary.org for specific times.

On Monday, Oct. 28, Assistant Library Director Caitlin Opatik will host Tech Days at 2 p.m. in the library’s Community Room. Opatik will demonstrate the different ways you can send documents to the library’s printer remotely. These include forwarding emails to the library’s printer, downloading documents to your device to send them via a link on the library’s homepage, or using the PrinterOn app. Bring your mobile device to the session to see how easy it is to send your print jobs to the library!

The Friends of the Reedsburg Public Library reminds the community that the group will be holding its annual Grateful Bread Sale on Monday, Nov. 18. The community is invited to bake and/or purchase bread for this event. All types of bread including white, wheat, savory, quick breads, croissants and muffins are welcome. The sale begins when the library opens at 8:30 a.m. If you would like to help on the day of the sale, contact Assistant Library Director Caitlin Opatik at the library.
