Voters can get ID prior to spring election

The Spring Primary is weeks away and the DMV wants the public to know they can get an ID to vote.

IDs for voting are offered for free.

People can get a voting ID if they don’t have another form of identification such as a driver’s license, military ID or student ID. A federally recognized REAL ID card is not required to vote.

Applicants need to show certain forms of ID, such as Social Security cards and birth certificates, to receive an ID. For a complete list of accepted documents, visit wisconsindmv.gov.
