Reedsburg Public Library’s Youth Services Department is excited to announce a fall programming schedule that begins the week of Sept. 14. Available programs include Storytime for Families, Babygarten Lapsit, After School Book Club, Family Fun Night, Teen Time and the newly created Multilingual Monday.

Registration on the library’s homepage is required for Zoom programs, and Babygarten Lapsit. One registration is sufficient for receiving weekly Zoom invitations via email.
Fall sessions kick off with the new program Multilingual Mondays, via Facebook on Sept. 14, at 6 p.m.
The weekly twenty-minute language lessons promise to be fun and educational for all ages! Languages featured include Spanish, American Sign Language, Dutch, and more.
Family Fun Night will take advantage of both the great outdoors and the Zoom platform to deliver interesting experiences for the whole family. The program will be held on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. beginning Sept. 15 with a visit to the Pioneer Log Village. Pre-registration is required for this field trip in order to get a headcount and families will be expected to wear face masks and to social distance from those outside their household.
Additional outdoor programs are planned for Sept. 29 and Oct. 13. Facebook sessions will be held on Sept. 22, Oct. 6, 27, and Nov. 3, 10 and 17.
Babygarten Lapsit will be held in person at the library at 10a.m. beginning on Sept. 16, with social distancing protocols. Pre-registration on the library’s homepage is required. Two groups will meet in the library every other week for rhymes, songs and books, emphasizing language enrichment and pre-literacy skills.
Babies and toddlers should be able to sit in their caregivers’ laps for 15 to 25 minutes.
Teen Time, designed for students entering grades 5 to 12 begins on Thursday, Sept. 17, at 3:45 p.m. with a special outdoor session where participants will have a special treat, socialize and discuss biweekly Zoom programs for the remainder of the fall. Register at reedsburglibrary.org to ensure receipt of the Zoom invitations.
After School Book Club, a popular program for students 4K through 4th grade will continue on the Zoom platform every other Thursday starting Sept. 24 at 4:30 p.m. Each Zoom program will feature reading from a kids’ choice chapter book and may include games, a take home craft, or other activities.
Storytime for Families, formerly Preschool Storytime, is held via Zoom each Friday at 10 a.m., beginning on Sept. 18. The session is geared towards younger children and their grown-ups, but siblings are welcome!
During the Live Zoom storytimes, children will hear stories, learn rhymes, enjoy music, and do a craft or activity during the 45-minute program. Register to receive the email invitation.
