Letters to the editor

Dear Editor,   I appreciated Tom Sullivan’s Letter to the Editor last week in the Star News regarding his support for “sustainability and repair of the environment in general and the climate . . criteria we need to use in evaluating all the proposals before us.” As Tom stated, we need to evaluate if they help repair the ongoing environmental and climate damage caused by our local infrastructure.   I hope people will look at these issues. When talking with a friend, two bridge engineers told her a new railroad bridge will never last. So, should we build one?  The engineers also commented on the uniqueness of the other two bridge’s closeness, and being the reason that this new bridge will never last.    I hope others will write in support of these “proposed projects” including the “new Sauk City library...” Respectfully submitted,   Sheila L.
