Poor weather wiped put one game but the Reedsburg Beaver baseball team did take the field last week at Beaver Dam and despite some strong pitching, Reedsburg suffered a 3-0 loss, falling to 0-2 for the conference season.

Saturday was a productive day for the Ithaca/Weston track teams who were in action at the Mill Haven Foods Invite in New Lisbon. The girls squad was second in team scoring on Saturday behind only Brookwood and the boys placed third overall, trailing only New Lisbon and Mauston.
Reedsburg faced one of the elite teams on its high school girls soccer schedule last week in the home opener at RAHS as the Mount Horeb Vikings came in for a Badger West matchup. The Vikings were dominant in the first half and went on to win 6-0 as the Beavers saw their record even up at 1-1 for the young season.
Reedsburg was able to play three of the four scheduled high school softball games this past week and that in itself could rank as a victory with the weather conditions that have been present so far in April.
Despite less than ideal weather to put it mildly to begin the season, the Reedsburg Beaver boys golf team was able to open the regular season meet slate as scheduled last Tuesday at Lake Wisconsin, Sauk-Prairie’s home course.
The past week started in disappointing fashion but it ended with a bang for the Reedsburg Beaver baseball team.
Reedsburg suffered the first loss of the season at Watertown last Tuesday before the Beavers swept a DH from River Valley at the Woodside Complex near Mauston on Saturday.
