Reedsburg Pirates go 3-0 in Home Talent Baseball action

Last week was a good one for Reedsburg Pirates Home Talent Baseball. The Pirates won a Sunday League game, a Night League game and a non-league game and two of the three victories were in lopsided fashion.

Weston announces 2022 baseball team award winners

The Weston Silver Eagle baseball team has announced its award winners for this season. Coaches Brent Jennings and Scott Westphal guided the Silver Eagles to a three-win season, highlighted by a conference DH sweep over Kickapoo. Weston’s season ended with a WIAA Tournament loss at Brookwood.

Caz Reds drop 2 baseball games last week

A victory still has not happened yet for the Cazenovia Reds on the baseball diamond this summer. The Reds dropped a Night League game at Reedsburg and a Sunday game at Muscoda last week.

RAHS Athletic Awards announced for this year

RAHS AD Bryan Yager has announced the 2021-2022 Reedsburg Beaver Athletic Award winners for this year.

The honor of Best Senior Female Athlete goes to Mahra Wieman. Wieman was an All-Conference volleyball player and received All-State recognition as well in helping the Beavers reach the WIAA State Tournament for the first time.

Three Beavers make All-Badger West softball team

Kaylee Peterson is crowned state champion for Ithaca/Weston track and field


Sophomore Kaylee Peterson from the Ithaca/Weston co-op track program won a state championship on Saturday in D-3 in the girls 400-meter dash with a school record time of 58.75 seconds. Peterson also placed fifth in the D-3 girls 800 at the WIAA State Meet at UW-La Crosse. (Submitted photo)

The Ithaca/Weston co-op track program has a WIAA State champion they can call their own this season. Sophomore Kaylee Peterson was one of the top 400-meter girls runners in D-3 all season and she saved her best for last by winning the state championship in that event Saturday afternoon at the WIAA State Meet in La Crosse.
