It’s later than usual but the Reedsburg Youth Football season is up and running with teams looking to play its first games of the season this weekend and next week.

Reedsburg’s high school boys soccer season is underway as the Beavers faced a couple of familiar foes this past week with a trip to Sauk-Prairie to play on the new artificial turf field there before hosting Portage on Thursday.
Reedsburg was unable to generate much offense and as a result, suffered shutout losses in both contests.
Reedsburg ran in its first high school cross country meet of the season last week but despite strong performances from senior Jenna McBride and junior Jackie Lacen, Reedsburg lost a dual meet in DeForest against the Norskies.
Reedsburg continues to be busy on the high school girls tennis scene with two more dual matches in recent days.
The Beavers suffered a 5-2 loss in a dual match at Sauk-Prairie on Tuesday before splitting 10 singles matches in a different format vs. DeForest last Thursday at RAHS.

Weston High School football players will have to wait until March if they are able to play at all this year but the volleyball girls are in action now and after a week of pre-season workouts, the Silver Eagle girls begin regular season play in the Ridge and Valley Conference this week.

The enjoyment of the game of golf gets put to the test for most people when they play in miserable conditions. That’s what members of the Reedsburg Beaver girls golf team had to contend with last week.
