After two full weeks of pre-season work without any regular season action, it was full speed ahead last week for Coach Sheila Green’s Reedsburg Beaver volleyball squad with a multitude of dual match play.

The Beaver girls golf team has yet to lose a dual match in the high school season this fall, improving to 3-0 in the conference and 4-0 overall last Tuesday with a score of 183, compared to 217 for Mount Horeb in a dual at the Reedsburg Country Club.

It was a thrilling finish for the Reedsburg Beaver football team in its first ever conference game in the Mississippi Valley last week.

Two cross country meets are now in the books for the Reedsburg Beaver runners with Reedsburg competing in a large meet at DeForest’s home course last Wednesday.

Reedsburg Area High School is now taking orders for athletic passes. These passes will be good for varsity and JV home games for the 2022-2023 school year. They will cover basketball, football, gymnastics, volleyball, wrestling, soccer and hockey.

Passes will not be valid for away games and WIAA tournaments.

By the time the middle of August arrives on the calendar, all of the RAHS and Weston High School fall sports teams will be up and running with pre-season workouts.

The Reedsburg Pirates will see more action on their home turf this summer in Home Talent Baseball after clinching the regular season title in the Northwest Night League last Thursday.

Able Trek Tours was the top team on Aug. 1 as the Reedsburg Country Club’s Monday Night Men’s Golf League resumed.

The Silverwolves, a co-op football program between Wonewoc and Weston, has a new man captain at the helm.

Girls golf has been a part of the fall sports landscape for the Reedsburg Beavers for 15 years. Coach Jesse Monte is hopeful that the 15th season could be the best ever.
