It was an offensive eruption for the Beaver boys soccer program last week with seven goals vs. Monroe but just two days later, the Beavers could not dent the scoreboard at all vs. Lodi. Predictably, the Beavers emerged with a win vs. Monroe, 7-1, before a 1-0 loss to Lodi with both matches at RAHS.

The Reedsburg Beaver volleyball team is forced to go some through growing pains this season with a very young roster with limited varsity experience. The growth is beginning to happen, however, as the Beavers have showed considerable improvement and that trend continued last week.

Reedsburg can call themselves conference champions once again this fall on the golf course. The Reedsburg Beaver girls golf squad won the dual meet, tournament and overall title last season in the first ever Badger West campaign and the Beavers have a chance to do the same this year.

It was Homecoming Week at RAHS and the Beaver football team added to the festivities with a 20-13 win over the Sparta Spartans.

The cross-country season continued for the Reedsburg Beavers on Saturday with a trip to Mount Horeb for an Invitational Meet at the Norsk Golf Course.

If you’ve been to a high school basketball game, a high school football game, a college football game, maybe a college basketball game or a high school softball game in the State of Wisconsin over the last 50 years or more, chances are you have seen Reedsburg’s Dean Oscar in action.

Regular season play has now begun for the Weston Silver Eagle volleyball as Weston went 0-2 in Ridge and Valley Conference play vs. Kickapoo and North Crawford.

The Wonewoc-Center/Weston Silverwolves football team knew they would face the toughest test of the season on Saturday when St. Mary’s Catholic/Valley Christian, the state’s number two-ranked team in eight-man football, made the trip from the Fox Valley region to Weston High School.

It was a good news, bad news scenario for the Beaver girls tennis team this past week. Reedsburg lost 6-1 to Oregon but also downed Monroe 5-2. Both duals were within the Badger West schedule.

Reedsburg was one of many schools that had cross country runners competing at Saturday’s River Valley Invitational in Spring Green, one of the oldest prep cross country meets in the State of Wisconsin.
