The Ithaca/Weston high school wrestling co-op has enjoyed a successful run over the last several seasons and one of the best seasons in the history of the program took place last season.
Weston is off to a 0-2 start in the high school girls basketball season after the Silver Eagles dropped a 49-29 decision on the home floor vs. Viroqua last Tuesday before Thanksgiving break.
One of the most consistently strong performing teams in area high school athletics in recent seasons has been the Reedsburg/Wisconsin Dells/Mauston boys high school hockey co-op team.
The regular season is underway for the Weston Silver Eagle girls basketball team as Weston dropped a 58-28 decision last Thursday night in Mauston. Tammy Braun has stepped away from the head coach position with Tayler Woodrick moving from assistant coach to the top position.
Coach Brett Keller returns to lead the Weston Silver Eagle boys basketball program this season with the team kicking off regular season play this week. Weston was unable to crack the win column last season with a 0-19 mark on the season but Keller sensed it was possible with an extremely young squad that took the floor a year ago.
Second-year Head Coach Tanner Schieve is preparing the Beaver boys basketball squad for this Saturday’s season opener at Lodi.
The Beavers won seven games last season with hard work and gritty play a key factor in the Reedsburg wins and Schieve is looking for more of the same with this year’s group.
