Victory was achieved for the first time this season for the Weston Silver Eagle girls basketball team and Coach Tayler Woodrick on Friday night with a solid performance at North Crawford, 47-39.
Things did not go as was hoped for the Weston Silver Eagle boys basketball team this past week as Weston was on the downside of a couple of lopsided losses in Ridge and Valley Conference play vs. Seneca and North Crawford.
It was a busy Saturday for the Ithaca/Weston wrestlers who competed in five duals at the Chula Vista Dome facility in Wisconsin Dells, facing off against squads from all over the state.

Coach Mark Simon knew his young and fairly inexperienced Reedsburg Beaver girls basketball team would go through some growing pains as the current season got underway.
Mother Nature wiped out a Beaver boys basketball game last Friday night that was scheduled in DeForest so that left the Beavers with only one game for the week and it was a regional rivalry game as the Wisconsin Dells Chiefs paid a visit to RAHS.
The area high school girls hockey co-op known as the Badger Lightning has gone through recent struggles largely due to a lack of depth and experienced players.
Reedsburg saw some unfamiliar teams across from them Saturday on the wrestling mat as the Beavers wrestled five duals as part of a large multi-team dual meet tournament held at the Chula Vista Dome in Wisconsin Dells. Reedsburg came away with three wins in the five duals against some strong competition.
