Stuff’s Restaurant was the big winner this week in the Monday Night Men’s Golf League at the Reedsburg Country Club.

One sign each year that summer is winding down is the beginning of high school football pre-season practice sessions and those get-togethers will be underway next week for the Reedsburg Beavers and for the Wonewoc-Center/Weston Silverwolves.

Reedsburg’s summer high school or Senior Babe Ruth Baseball schedule likely came to a close this past week as we get close to the end of July. Reedsburg played one game on Monday night and Reedsburg Team No. 2 won two games on Wednesday night.

It was a week of mixed results for the Reedsburg Pirates Home Talent Baseball team. Reedsburg suffered a surprising loss at Arena in Night League action and then needed to rally for a Sunday League victory three days later at Richland Center.

Five young Reedsburg gymnasts traveled to Orland, Florida at the start of the month to compete in the National Gymnastics Championship Meet.

The girls were Lilliana Jahn, Isabella Baldwin, Trinity Wolf, Havana Smelcer and Lexi Edgerton. They are all part of the Hardcore Gymnastics Team coached by Karla and Alan Kachic.

A long-standing tradition and a mainstay of summers in Reedsburg occurs again this weekend.

The 35th Annual Lenny Alexander Memorial Baseball Tournament will be played out over Friday, Saturday and Sunday on eight ball diamonds throughout Reedsburg.
