Last Tuesday meant a final tune-up for the Reedsburg Beaver Track and Field teams prior to the Badger West meet and upcoming WIAA post-season Tournament action. Reedsburg joined multiple schools at last week’s Justinger Invitational in Tomah and both Reedsburg teams enjoyed success.
You could say it was a mixed bag when recapping the past week of Weston Silver Eagle baseball. Weston struggled defensively early last week at DeSoto and followed it up with one of the best games of the season at LaFarge before battling a pair of non-conference foes on Saturday in Caz.
The key meets of the season are on the horizon for the Ithaca/Weston track and field teams with I/W preparing themselves with some good competition this past week.
The confidence continues to grow for the Reedsburg Beaver baseball team as the regular season schedule draws closer to the end. Reedsburg added to its win total last week against Oregon in what turned out to be the only game of the week for the Beavers.
Runs continue to be hard to come by for a very young Weston softball team as they continued Ridge and Valley Conference play this past week. After a 15-0 loss at Ithaca on Monday, Weston traveled to DeSoto the next day for a make-up game and suffered a 14-0 setback.
It continues to be a learning and growing experience for a very inexperienced Weston softball team as the Silver Eagles played three more Ridge and Valley Conference games last week.

Some strong competition awaited members of the Ithaca/Weston co-op track teams this past weekend as I/w was part of a strong field of schools Friday at the River Valley Alumni Invite and the next day in a strong field at the Ginger Morrey Invite at Riverdale High School.
After a slow start to the season at 0-4, the Beaver girls soccer team entered last week having won four of six since then and the winning trend continued last Tuesday when the Beavers routed Portage/Poynette, 9-2, in a conference contest.
