Reedsburg competed in its last varsity gymnastics competition before the New Year on Friday with a good team score but a loss in a dual meet at Monona Grove.
Ty Horkan picked up his first win as the Reedsburg Beavers boys basketball head coach last Tuesday night as the Beavers topped Tomah 54-41 at RAHS in non-conference play as Reedsburg earned the first victory of the season and the Beavers followed it up with a conference win three nights later against the visiting Portage Warriors.

Reedsburg had gone multiple seasons without suffering a conference dual meet loss on the wrestling mat but now, the Beavers have lost twice this season in Badger Small after Reedsburg lost to Stoughton in a tightly contested matchup last Tuesday at Webb Middle School.
Weston entered this past week looking to establish themselves further in the Ridge and Valley Conference Boys Basketball picture with a pair of league games on the home floor. Round one resulted in a 57-50 loss to Seneca last Tuesday.

The injury bug continues to bite the Reedsburg Beaver wrestlers but to their credit, the team continues to perform well after winning three duals while also doing well at Saturday’s Richland Center Invite.
Saturday was a good day for the members of the Ithaca/Weston wrestling co-op as I/W came away with a fifth-place team finish among 12 schools in a good field of competition at the Richland Center Invitational.
RWD was looking for a second straight conference win in Badger Small boys hockey last Tuesday night but Sauk-Prairie had other ideas and posted a 4-2 win at RACA in Reedsburg.
