A very successful season for the Reedsburg Beaver varsity boys tennis program came to a close last week as two Beaver entries lost in the opening round of WIAA Sectional play in Oconomowoc.

Cazenovia dropped a pair of games last week as the Home Talent Baseball season continued for the Reds with setbacks to Reedsburg and Cross Plains.

There has been no shortage of offense of late for the Reedsburg Pirates Home Talent Baseball team.

Reedsburg improved to 1-1 in the Night League season and 2-1 for the Sunday League season with wins over Cazenovia and Plain last week with the Pirates bashing the ball over the ball park in both outings.

Home matches have not been a common occurrence through the years for the Reedsburg Beaver girls soccer program as far as post-season play is concerned.

 Reedsburg got that opportunity this spring and they took advantage last week with a 4-2 decision over Wausau East on a hot, muggy day at RAHS in WIAA D-2 Regional action.

Over the course of the 19-game season, the Beaver softball team has suffered some disappointing losses but it would be hard to imagine a more difficult one to swallow than Monday’s loss in Wisconsin Dells.

Three former Reedsburg Beaver track standouts all competed in NCAA Outdoor Championship events for their respective schools.
