National Honor Society hosts blood drive

Weston High School’s National Honor Society will organize a blood drive on Feb. 7.

Donations will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the high school gym.

This will be a Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin drive.

Newcomer challenges incumbent for Reedsburg School Board seat

A Reedsburg School Board member will have some competition during this year’s spring election.

Scott Whitsett will challenge incumbent Gabe Bauer for the Area 1 seat, according to paperwork filed with the Reedsburg School District Central Office.

Reedsburg School District earns average score on latest state report card

 The Reedsburg School District is meeting expectations, according to the latest report card from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

The district scored 65.1 out of 100 points, or three stars to “meet expectations.”

Both the district as a whole and individual schools were reviewed for the 2020-2021 school year.

Weston School District meets expectations from State

The Weston School District has received a favorable review from the State of Wisconsin.

The district scored 67 of 100 points, earning three stars to “meet expectations.” The information was released in the latest district report card put out by the Department of Public Instruction.

Total enrollment was 286 students.

Reedsburg school releases first-quarter honor roll results

St. Peter’s Lutheran School in Reedsburg has unveiled its list of academic honors for the first quarter.

They are as follows.

Fifth grade, A Honor Roll: Elijah Anderson, Gavin Braun, Lucas Breneman, Gunnar Dankert, Adriana Hinze, Judah Rothwell, Hailey Schwartz and Brock Wilson.

Weston students collect food, hygiene products

Weston’s Pack the Pantry Food Drive will take place from Nov. 29 through Dec. 9

Weston FBLA will work to convince the public to donate non-perishable food. Items can be dropped off at the Weston school entrances. Financial donations can be made online at https://bit.ly/FoodDriveDonate.
