School district employee earns national certification

Laurie Eastman of the School District of Reedsburg has been named a nationally certified school nurse.

In a statement, she said, "This was something I wanted to do not only for myself but for the students and the school district."

Households that make below a certain amount of income can qualify for food or milk for their children.

The State of Wisconsin has released its predictions about how much money districts will receive for the upcoming school year and, at least so far, it doesn’t look like Reedsburg will see much of an increase.

Reedsburg School District had average year for seclusion, restraint use

The number of seclusion and restraint instances at the Reedsburg School District doesn’t appear to be rising.

It was a pretty average year, according Jeff Bindl, director of special education and pupil services. Bindl made a presentation on the topic before the Reedsburg School Board last week.

Weston provides summer food service for children

The Weston School District will participate in the summer food service program this year.

Anyone under the age of 18 is eligible for free breakfast and lunch, regardless of enrolment, from June 6 through June 30.
