Mother Nature sure is a fickle one! I finally started seeing my daffodils, hellebores, iris, and my other early appearing perennials and then she threw another snow shower our way! I know I need to be patient, but it is very hard this time of year.

Cooperative names top cows through January

South Central DHI has unveiled its list of best-performing cows through January.

The top Holstein came from Bells Udder Farm in Camp Douglas. O-2697 produced 42,061 pounds of milk that tested at four percent and 4370 cheese yield.

SSM Health at Home offers camp for grieving children

Children dealing with the death of a loved one are invited to be part of a camp sponsored by SSM Health at Home.

Camp GLOW is a grief-support day camp where spiritual and grief counselors, as well as specially trained volunteers, give kids the opportunity to share their pain and experiences in a safe setting.

Screnock wins another term as Sauk County judge

The incumbent in the race for Sauk County Circuit Court judge appears to have won Tuesday’s election.

As of the Reedsburg Independent’s deadline that evening, Michael Screnock had received 4,262 votes. According to unofficial results, challenger Blake Duren accumulated 3,726 votes.

All Sauk County Board sets up for election this spring

Most Sauk County Board candidates will be unopposed on the ballot for this spring’s election.

All seats are up for election on Tuesday, April 5. Residents vote only for supervisors in their area.
