I have been old for quite a while, and now I am really old. I don't feel like I'm 80, but that is what the statistics say. It is odd to arrive at a ripe old age feeling relatively unchanged deep within from my 20 something self. The last 80 years have been an amazing time to be alive.
The societal soup of the day in modern times has a far differing flavor and consistency than it did in the 50’s, 60’s and even 70’s. The difference? Just in terms of numbers, baby boomers threatened to overwhelm the world at large.

I can’t ever remember that happening before in my lifetime, but it did recently with all the snowfall we had. Not that it mattered to residents anyway since barely anyone put out their garbage due to the weather.
