Nature and Society: Acting (and feeling) your age

I have been old for quite a while, and now I am really old. I don't feel like I'm 80, but that is what the statistics say. It is odd to arrive at a ripe old age feeling relatively unchanged deep within from my 20 something self. The last 80 years have been an amazing time to be alive.

Letter: Illegals don’t deserve support

Since taking office, President Biden has exploited a loophole in our asylum system and allowed 6 million unvetted illegal aliens to enter this country; this is nearly the population of Tennessee.

Add to this number nearly 2 million “gotaways” that our Border Patrol knew about but were unable to detain at our Southern border.

STANEK COLUMN: One man’s trash…might make it to the curb

You know the weather is bad when garbage collection gets cancelled.

I can’t ever remember that happening before in my lifetime, but it did recently with all the snowfall we had. Not that it mattered to residents anyway since barely anyone put out their garbage due to the weather.
