BLACK EARTH - Mary Evelyn Anderson, age 98, of Black Earth, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019, at Heartland Country Village, Black Earth. She was born on August 15, 1921, in Wonewoc, Wis., the daughter of William and Geneva (Montgomery) O’Brien.
Randy Lee Pletzer, age 57 of Spring Green, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 as a result of a heart attack. He was born to parents Dale and Barb (Christian) Pletzer on October 7, 1962, in Madison, Wisconsin.
Daniel “Danny” K. Meixelsperger, age 55, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and closest friends on Nov. 19, 2019 at University Hospital in Madison after a valiant yearlong battle with melanoma. Danny was born at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital Jan. 17, 1964 to Harold and Eileen (Hetzel) Meixelsperger.
Marilyn F. Smith, age 73, passed away in the comfort of her own home on Nov. 23, 2019. She was born Feb. 17, 1946 to the late Albert and Alma (Pletzer) Sprecher. She was a graduate of the 1964 Prairie du Sac High School class. Marilyn was united in marriage to Thomas D. Smith on June 2, 1971.
Elden Milton Zimmerman passed away peacefully on November 21, 2019 surrounded by family at Maplewood Nursing Home in Sauk City. He was born March 10, 1929 in Prairie du Chien to Steve and Ardell (Zable) Zimmerman Sr. Elden grew up in the Prairie du Chien area and married Dorothy Check on May 20, 1950. They were blessed with 8 children.
Donald Kirner passed away in peace on 11/14/19 at the grand age of 91. Don was a person known and loved by many. His childhood started on a farm in Sauk County, until his family, along with others were displaced to build the Badger Ammunition Plant and his family had to move.
Florina Mary (Maier) Lenerz, age 95, of Sauk City, passed away peacefully on Oct 30, 2019 at Maplewood Nursing Home in Sauk City. Florina was born in Dane County in the Town of Roxbury on April 21, 1924 to Adam and Elizabeth (Kruchten) Maier. She was a graduate of Sauk City High School in 1941.
Curtis F. Mueller passed away in his sleep on October 19, 2019 at the age of 85. He was born on July 17, 1934 in Alma, Wisconsin to Oliver Peter and Dorathy Mae (Bemis) Mueller. After graduating from Prairie du Sac High School in 1952, Curt went on to earn a degree in Pharmacology from the University of Wisconsin in 1957.
BLACK EARTH-Harold Robert Wood, age 93 of Black Earth passed away on Oct. 7, 2019, at the Wisconsin Veteran’s Home at King, in Waupaca,Wis. Harold was born in Richland County in the town of Willow on January 27, 1926, to Jesse and Vada (Locke) Wood.
