South Central DHI has announced its best-performing animals through March.
The top Holstein came from the herd of Bells Udder Farm in Camp Douglas. P-3091 produced 39,476 pounds of milk that tested at 3.9 percent and 3965 cheese yield.
A Reedsburg woman has finished her master’s degree in management.
Ali Elaine Srader completed her program through the University of Maryland Global campus. She was one of more than 13,600 grads from 50 states and the District of Columbia, as well as 32 countries and U.S. territories.

Students at Sacred Heart School will now be enjoying their milk at the perfect temperature thanks to a grant from Reedsburg Utility Commission (RUC).
A Rock Springs native is among those who had academic excellence for the spring 2022 semester at Upper Iowa University. Lucas Riberich is studying conservation management.
To qualify for the list, students must be enrolled full time and carry a GPA of at least 3.5.
The Bear Creek Solar Project is slated for operation in late July. The project, on 456 acres just north of Lone Rock along Highway 130, is an estimated 50-megawatt (MW) facility that will generate enough power for nearly 13,000 homes.
