Cooperative announces top cows through spring 2022

South Central DHI has announced its best-performing animals through March.

The top Holstein came from the herd of Bells Udder Farm in Camp Douglas. P-3091 produced 39,476 pounds of milk that tested at 3.9 percent and 3965 cheese yield.

Srader earns management degree

A Reedsburg woman has finished her master’s degree in management.

Ali Elaine Srader completed her program through the University of Maryland Global campus. She was one of more than 13,600 grads from 50 states and the District of Columbia, as well as 32 countries and U.S. territories.

School District offers free meals for children

The Reedsburg School District is participating in a summer meal program, with the goal of feeding those 18 and younger.

All meals must be consumed on site. The program is supported through a partnership with the Department of Public Instruction.

Sacred Heart School receives grant from Reedsburg Utility

Rock Springs man makes Upper Iowa University Dean’s List

A Rock Springs native is among those who had academic excellence for the spring 2022 semester at Upper Iowa University. Lucas Riberich is studying conservation management.

To qualify for the list, students must be enrolled full time and carry a GPA of at least 3.5.

Appliance business announces storefront closure

A Reedsburg business announced that it is shuttering its store after nearly 70 years.

Fearing’s Appliance shared on Facebook that even though the storefront is closing, the business will continue to offer service. Anyone who needs service to their appliances after July 1 may call 608-963-1323.
