StoryWalk: A new project of the Reedsburg Public Library

Recognizing that in the days of physical distancing (and good weather) there is no better learning venue than the great outdoors, Reedsburg Public Library’s Miss Jess and Miss Maxine have constructed a StoryWalk, which is now in City Park until Thursday, Sept. 3.

Reedsburg student graduates from WITC

A Reedsburg resident is among this summer’s graduates from Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College.

Ian Held earned an associate degree in applied science to become an IT systems administration specialist.

WITC distributed more than 600 degrees following the spring and summer sessions.

Reedsburg student added to University of Kansas Honor Roll

A Reedsburg native made the Honor Roll at the University of Kansas for the spring semester.

Ian Rogers was one of more than 7,500 students acknowledged in results that were released late last week.

Rogers is studying in the college of liberal arts and sciences.

For years, the American Library Association’s Celebrity READ Campaign posters have promoted reading in libraries across the country. Well-known personalities such as Danica Patrick, the Jonas Brothers, Stephen Hawking and Yo-Yo Ma have been photographed while reading their favorite book. Now Reedsburg Public Library staff becomes stars too!

Rock Springs to get new library in 2021

RAMC partners with Red Cross for blood donations

There is a need for blood and the Reedsburg Area Medical Center has joined up with the American Red Cross to help meet demand.

The first blood drive will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 25 in the RAMC Specialty Center Lower Level Exercise Room.
